Norma Jeanne Venable
Norma Jeanne Venable, amazing mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home. She was born June 8, 1949, in Grapevine, Texas, the daughter of Wade Clifford and Norma Winifred Gleghorn Cummings. Jeanne graduated from Grapevine High School in 1967. She worked for Tarrant County Jail and Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). Jeanne was a strong woman and a fighter; she fought cancer till the end. She was preceded in death by her son, Sterling Lee Vanable; husband, Elton Venable; and brother, Wayne Cummings.
Survivors include her children, Elton Wade Venable and Valarie Venable; grandchildren, Chelsea Strait and husband Dakota and Cody Venable; three great-grandchildren, Ryder, Raider and Preslee; sisters, Judith Smith and Vonda Hines; and her beloved dogs, Chief and Pup Pup.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at Mineral Wells Church of God.
