MWPD Arrest Driver on Suspicion of Drunk Driving After Vehicle Crashes Into Home
STATEMENT FROM MWPD SOCIAL MEDIA:
At about 4:30 this morning officers were dispatched to a call where a vehicle struck a residence. The vehicle left the roadway, going through the yard, where it hit the residence. The vehicle entered a bedroom where someone was sleeping. Thankfully nobody inside the residence was injured.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and was transported to Palo Pinto General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be added.
REMEMBER, Driving While Intoxicated can be very costly on your pocketbook, but more importantly, it often cause the loss of life. IT IS NOT WORTH IT, phone a friend, sleep in your car or call the Police Department so you and everyone else make it home safely
We will agressively pursue any and all charges against any driver who choose to drink and drive.
