Lavon Woods Gore died peacefully at home in Brock, TX on October 2, 2024 after a tough battle with cancer. She was born in DeLeon, Texas on June 14, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Daniel Woods and Laverne Woods; the father of her children, Paul Norris; and a brother, Kenneth Woods.

 She is survived by her husband Dr. Ty Gore; sons, Byron Norris and wife Sonya of Stuttgart, Germany and Nathan Norris and wife Crystal of Brownwood; granddaughter, Sophia Norris of Stuttgart; brothers, Steve and Dan Woods and spouses Cheryl and Harriet; and by her stepchildren Chad, Lauren, and Madison and their children. Lavon is also survived by multiple friends. 

 Lavon was full of joy, had a gorgeous smile, classy style, and was a loyal friend and spouse. She enjoyed traveling and was able to travel to many countries and states over the last few years. She especially enjoyed the times with her Mahjong friends over the last few years. Lavon will be sorely missed by many.

 A memorial service will be held on October 26,2024 at 2PM in Comanche, Texas at the New Life Pentecostal Church, the church of her youth. There will be a family visitation time 2 hours prior to the service.
