The Gordon Longhorns on Monday finished their district campaign with a perfect 10-0 mark to claim their second straight district title.
Meanwhile, the Lady Longhorns overcame Highland in their bi-district playoff game.
The ‘Horns eased past visiting Eula, 74-29, claim the District 13-1A crown and end the regular season with a 19-3 record overall. They now await their bi-district opponent, which will come from District 14.
Eula finished second in district with an 8-2 record – both losses coming to Gordon by a combined score of 139-37.
The Gordon ladies advanced to the UIL playoffs second round with a 37-32 win Monday over Highland. The game was played at Clyde High School.
The Lady ‘Horns next face Aspermont in the area round, a matchup of district winners. Aspermont, out of District 15, advanced Monday with a 57-31 victory over Crowell. Game time and location is TBA.
Graford
The Graford Lady Jackrabbits dropped Monday’s Class 2A bi-district game in Stephenville to Crawford by a score of 31-26.
The loss ended Graford’s season with a 13-17 mark after finishing fourth in district.
Strawn
The Strawn Lady Greyhounds play their Class 1A bi-district game Tuesday, squaring off against Ira in Trent. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
