Mineral Wells won their second District 6-4A game to improve to 2-1 and 15-5 overall.

The first inning would be the only one in which the Lady Rams failed to score as Glen Rose staked itself to an early 1-0 lead. Mineral Wells tied the game in the top of the second on a Bista double that scored Scottie Denison. Denison reached on a one-out double.

McMinn’s single in the third scored Presley and Harkins for a 3-1 lead. Glen Rose knotted the game at three runs apiece in the bottom half of the frame.

With two outs in the fourth, the Lady Rams’ offense got busy again. A Presley single followed by an Aubree Yowell double put two in scoring position. Harkins cleaned them up with a base knock into center for a 5-3 Mineral Wells lead.

The Lady Rams began distancing themselves in the fifth scoring three more times. Another Bista double scored Denison and Boswell. Karli Aaron’s single allowed pinch runner Addy Moore to touch home for an 8-3 Lady Rams advantage.
