PK Medical Clinic Construction Moving Along
The new Emergency Service District 1 facility and PPGH Medical Clinic is over 50% completed and is set to open in October at Possum Kingdom Lake.
The East Ambulance Station and Medical Clinic is an 8000-square foot facility that will have ambulance service staffed 24 hours a day as well as serve as an outpatient medical clinic for lake and other nearby residents.
Hospital CEO Ross Korkmas says it will be a primary care clinic. “We will be able to do some labs and testing at the clinic, but some labs will still need to be either sent to the hospital or to a larger lab.”
He explained that this location will not have any imaging capabilities at the clinic. However, it’s not ruled out as a possibility.
“We may include an x-ray in the future depending on the clinic growth and the needs of the community. We are keeping an open mind when it comes to the clinic and as we see additional needs we will consider other services,” said Korkmas.
The Possum Kingdom East Ambulance Station and Medical Clinic will be located at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 2353 and Park Road 36, just south of Graham Savings and Loan
