MW Football Helmets Are Ready for Friday Night Lights

Mineral Wells football coaches held a team building event this week in anticipation of the first regular football game of the season.

The event was called “Decals with Dad” according to football coach Brandon Jones and was designed to get parents more involved with the team.

“Tuesday after practice we invited dad’s or parents to the field house to help their kid’s put Ram decals on their helmet’s,” Jones told MWAN. The helmets were solid black until players adorned them with horns and their jersey number.

According to a post on Mineral Wells High School Football’s Facebook page, the event had a huge turnout of dads, moms and grandparents. The staff claimed they will have to move to the cafeteria next year to accommodate so many supporters.

The Mineral Wells Rams will travel to Castleberry this Friday night for their first game of the 2021 season.
