New BBQ Cook-off and Bluegrass Festival Coming to Mineral Wells

The inaugural Q-Grass Festival will take place on September 11 at The Frontier Trails in Mineral Wells. The event will be held from 12-6:00pm and feature bluegrass music and a city barbecue championship.
Event organizer Bob Kaspar has a deep love for brisket and bluegrass music so he designed this unique event to share his passion with the community.
“Join us this September 11 for five hours of live bluegrass, sample the best brisket in town and help crown Mineral Wells’ BBQ champion, ” said Kaspar.
Tickets to the festival run $20 for General Admission and kids under 10 are free.
Bands expected to play are Ioni Creek, Paluxy Pickers, Pocket Change, and Sasquatch Holler.
-Doors open at 11am
-Seating is on a grass field so be sure to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair
-Ticket price includes tastings from each BBQ competitor. Each ticket will also include a coupon that you can use to vote for your favorite entry so make sure to try them all!
-As this is a bluegrass festival, feel free to bring an instrument to jam
-This event is BYOB so coolers are permitted.
-Additional non-alcoholic concessions will be for sale.
