Local Business Giving Organizations an Opportunity to Fundraise

According to manager Sharon Livesay, “The Wash House of Mineral Wells sees it as an honor to be part of something that will help strengthen our community and children.”
That was their intention partnering with The First Baptist Church for their 23rd Annual Back to School Fair, making it a mission to provide 700 resident children with backpacks filled with supplies for the upcoming school year.
The Wash House offers to aid local churches, schools, charities, and the like in efforts to fundraise for current needs or future endeavors.
On August 6, 2021 the business solicited customers to make a $10 donation in exchange for their top tier wash, worth a twenty dollar value, during their prime hours of operation. All proceeds totaling $880.00 were donated to the Back to School Fair held at First Baptist Church.
“With the support of the community and our amazing customers, we were able to raise money for a great cause,” Livesay said.
While this is not the first fundraiser that was planned, it is the first to come to fruition due to unforeseen obstacles caused by Covid-19 and weather.
Inviting the public to join them in their efforts, the manager concluded, “The Washhouse Mineral Wells, is looking forward to the future opportunities to support more local causes. This company and its employees are part of the same community that we wish to help grow and strengthen through compassion and acts of kindness.”
