Rams Will Host Cross Country Meet

The Mineral Wells Rams/Lady Rams will host their annual cross country meet this coming Saturday at Mineral Wells High School. Runners will start at 8am.

*CORRECTION*

With point :01 seconds of the second quarter Mason Facteau hit Landon Russell on a six yard pass to give the Rams a 25-6 halftime lead against Western Hills. It was reported that Tristan Gray caught the pass.

Breakfast on Friday

The Mineral Wells Ram fans will meet Friday at 7am. for breakfast with coach at The Switch cafe in Cool. Coach Seth Hobbs will give a recap of the win over Western Hills. The cost is $10 per person.

Players of the Week

The Mineral Wells Rams named the players of the game against Fort Worth Western Hills. The offensive player of the game was Mason Facteau who completed seven of nine passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns. The defensive MVP was senior Bryce Fellows, special team MVP was Joe Vaughn Ramirez. The offensive, “Big Play” went to Jace Freeman while the defensive “Big Play” was won by Fabian Martinez. The special team “Big Play” went to Micah Gray.

MWHS Athletic Hall of Fame

Lynn Reasoner(Class of 1976),August Deets(Class of 1968)and Lorenzo Johnson (Class of 2011) have been elected to the Mineral Wells High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The threesome will be inducted at the halftime of the Rams/Vernon football game. The game is October 15.

Freshman and JV Report

The Mineral Wells Freshman Rams and Junior Varsity moved their record to 2-0 on the year with wins over Western Hills. The Freshman team routed Rio Vista 44-6 while the Junior Varsity won 42-6 over Western Hills. Both teams joined the Varsity Rams with 2-0 records.
