Kenneth Eugene Embry

Kenneth Eugene Embry, age 65, passed away in his home on February 8, 2022 in Sand Springs, OK. Born on April 24, 1956 to Phillip Eugene and Mildred (Cooper) Embry in Houston, TX. Married to Ann Elizabeth Springer in 1981. They were blessed through adoption with their daughter, Kelsey Jean, in 1988, and again with their son, Austin Taylor, in 1991. Kenny completed elementary school in Bellaire, TX before the family settled in Mineral Wells where he lived until 1998.
Kenny enjoyed family camping, baseball, fishing, golf, playing guitar and good music. His enjoyment of serenading his friends and family earned him a music scholarship to Weatherford College! He later went on to work at the same company as his father, PECO, where he stayed for 21 years in various sales and management positions. Kenny learned a great deal about oil flow measurement, taught classes at trade shows, and even invented and patented the Power Wedge—a pipeline fitting controlling the flow of oil. His work in flow measurement took him across the globe, working through several companies in Mineral Wells, Tomball, and Houston, TX, Bristow and Tulsa, OK. He made a lifetime of friendships and personal connections through his field.
Kenneth is predeceased by his son, Austin, and wife Ann of 40 years marriage. Survived by his daughter Kelsey Ruckel and husband Stephen of Garland, TX, sister Denise Griggs, and brother John Embry.
A service will be held at 11am Saturday, March 19, at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Westport, OK. Donations in his memory can be made to Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa.
