Late Score Costs Mineral Wells Varsity Rams against the Weatherford Christian Lions Varsity

Mineral Wells Varsity Rams stayed in it until the end, but Weatherford Christian Lions Varsity pulled away late in an 8-4 victory on Friday. The game was tied at four with Weatherford Christian Lions Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Ben Blackburn drew a walk, scoring one run. Mineral Wells Varsity Rams opened up scoring in the first inning when Blake Blue singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Weatherford Christian Lions Varsity evened things up at four in the top of the sixth inning.

Braeden Wells led things off on the hill for Mineral Wells Varsity Rams. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero. Gixer Patterson and Clayton Ethridge entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively. Patterson, Adrian Hollifield, Isaiah Santibanez, Cainan Daniel, Hunter Menchacha, and Blue each collected one hit to lead Mineral Wells Varsity Rams.
