Summer Sports Camp Give Kids Affordable Fun this Summer
School is out for the summer but that doesn’t mean kids have to sit at home with nothing to do.
This week kicked off summer athletic camps for local kids. Baseball and softball coaches, along with their high school ball players, hosted a skills camp for kids up to sixth grade.
Over 100 boys and girls participated for two days honing their fielding and batting skills at the high school facilities. Camp concluded with sliding practice on a makeshift slip-and-slide. Fun times were had by all.
There are many more opportunities this summer for kids to have a great time while improving their athleticism. Other camps being hired by the high school this summer include volleyball, football, basketball, tennis and soccer. The cost is $20.
