Get Your Green Thumb On this Fall & Become a Master

This economy has many people thinking about the steady rise in food costs and perhaps you’ve thought about growing your own food. Or maybe you just love growing beautiful flowers and would like to learn a little bit more.
This fall, you can become a master of your own garden through the Palo Pinto County extension office.
TX A&M Extension in is providing a Master Gardener program starting September 1. The program teaches gardening literally from the ground up and is taught by experts in their Horticultural field.
After completing the class you will work with Palo Pinto County Master Gardeners in sponsored community gardens for some hands-on learning.
Master Gardeners are members of the local community who take an active interest in their lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and gardens. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others and to share lessons learned.
If you are interested in this program, you can contact the Palo Pinto County Extension Office at (940) 659-1228 or local Master Gardener Carolyn Barnard (817) 959-7501 for more information.
