Here in Palo Pinto County, we gardeners get so excited when Spring rolls around and it’s time to plant our tomatoes, peppers, squash & melons. Unfortunately for so many, this year’s Spring and Summer gardens burned up and produced little to no harvest. The long stretch of triple digit temps and drought killed our plants and kind of broke our hearts. But do not be dismayed, fellow gardening friends, hope springs eternal when in the garden. There’s always something to grow.

Enter Fall gardening. Did you know Fall gardening in our area can be wildly successful and fulfilling? Cooler temperatures and increased rainfall are the perfect prescription for that bountiful harvest we dreamed of this Spring. And who knows? Fall gardening might just be the cure for our broken hearts, too.
