The new tradition of lighting the Baker up with red lights after a Ram Football win is great, but did you know there is another Ram tradition that has lasted for many decades??
MW Coaches give game insights every Friday morning for fans
Every Friday morning at 7am on game day, Ram fans get a chance to eat breakfast with the coaches and hear game plans, scouting reports and any injury updates, as well as general information about the team.
Coach Seth Hobbs, in his ninth season as head coach, was a bit leery of the concept originally.
“We were pretty awful and I thought people were gonna throw things at us,”said Hobbs.
Hobbs quickly learned that despite any struggles on the field, the breakfast tradition was a place of love and support from some of the team’s biggest fans, regardless of the scoreboard.
The tradition has lasted more than 30 years and likely won’t stop soon. The Rams are having a strong season and look to move to 3-0 today in their Homecoming match up against Benbrook.
Want to know who to watch out for on the opposing teams? You better get to the Coaches Breakfast each Friday morning at 7am which is held in the cafeteria at Palo Pinto General Hospital.
