The Varsity Rams football team moved to 3-1 on the season after a disappointing loss to Sanger last week. Multiple turnovers in the first half made it really difficult for the Rams to overcome a halftime defecit of 42-7. On the positive side, coaches were able to play several back up players in the second half who don’t normally get much playing time. The Rams were able to manage a few more touchdowns in the final quarter to lose 63-21. This week they head to Graham to take on the Steers. Check out our Video Highlights and post game interview with Coach Hobbs

Quarterback Mason Facteau completed one of three passes and scored one touchdown. Back up QB Owen Gadd completed two passes for 17 yards which were both received by Preztynn Harrison who had a total of three completions for 18 yards.

Defense

The Ram Defense against Sanger was once again led by Senior Blake Blue who had 11 tackles. MWAN was quite impressed with Blue’s leadership as he openly spoke to his teammates sitting on the bench and encouraged them as they were staring down a major scoreboard deficit. Fabian Martinez had 8 tackles and Kayden Montalvo contributed seven. Braden Ethridge continues to be a strong defensive player weekly and put up six tackles along with Kadin Villa who also had five.
