Parker County Sheriff Seizes Fentanyl

Parker County Special Crimes Unit arrested two men following a search warrant at a residence near Springtown Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.


Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said SCU investigators have been working on the case for several weeks following an anonymous tip submitted to Parker County Crime Stoppers.

Subsequent to the investigation, two male suspects were identified as selling and distributing illegal narcotics containing Fentanyl. The suspects were identified as Angel Ibarra,19, and Samuel Ibarra, 22.

Samuel Ibarra, 22 and Angel Ibarra, 19, were arrested in Parker County on charges of distributing narcotics containing Fentanyl


The brothers implicated themselves to investigators in selling and distributing tablets containing Fentanyl.


SCU investigators seized more than 67 tablets from the residence which tested positive for Fentanyl.
Both men were arrested following the search warrant and were charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance.


Sheriff Authier said the case investigation is ongoing, pending additional charges.


“There is an increase of Fentanyl-related deaths across the nation,” said Sheriff Authier. “There have been five confirmed Fentanyl-related deaths in Parker County within the past year. There have also been dozens of Fentanyl poisoning cases in our county, causing hospitalizations, near-death occurrences and long-term side effects. Education and awareness are the keys to prevention. We will continue our part in investigating these cases and making arrests.”
