Don’t be alarmed if you step outside this morning and smell fire and notice a heavy presence of smoke.

Yesterday’s control burn by the city has left a smokey presence across parts of the community today.
MWAN reached to the fire department and they confirmed the smoke is from yesterday’s burn.
“We need the wind to pick up and move it out. Probably with in the hour the wind should increase and move the smoke out of town,” said MW Fire Chief Ryan Dunn.
Palo Pinto County officials lifted the burn ban on Monday after several days of wet conditions in the area made it safer to burn.
Remember before burning anything, it’s always a good practice to call the Sheriff’s office and let them know.
