Parade Proposal
The Spirit of Christmas was in the air at Merry Wells this evening, but apparently so was love!
As the first float of the evening made the corner for the last leg of the parade, the traffic stopped dead in front of The Ritz Sign.
The AMR float stopped and a man stood up, grabbed microphone and got down on one knee creating the most magical Hallmark Channel moment we’ve seen in a while. The lady with him gasped in surprise and said “yes” as the crowd applauded the moment.
Tyeson Mahan of Mineral Wells has been planning this moment for months with coworkers and their family.
Just in case he couldn’t get the words out in the moment, he also had his question in lights glowing on The Ritz Sign in the background.
Girlfriend Amanda Ogle was clearly surprised but she didn’t hesitate to say yes. The crowd was filled with family and friends to witness the proposal.
