MWAN is the only FREE Local News Source in Palo Pinto County

It’s no secret that nonprofit journalism is a tough business. It takes a lot of time, energy, and funding to produce our digital community newspaper. Our reporting is independent, LOCAL AND ALWAYS FREE. Best of all, it’s entirely community driven and community funded. And we need YOU to help us continue this important work.

Today is the nation’s annual #GivingDay and Mineral Wells Area News needs your support. Have you read our stories? Have you followed our breaking news coverage? Maybe you enjoyed the pictures we share or maybe you appreciate us showing up to your kid’s sporting events to report the scores? We are ready to expand deeper into the community and investigate the stories you need to hear in 2023. Will you Help Support MWAN by contributing to our nonprofit mission on #GivingNewsDay?

From now until the end of 2022, NewsMatch will double your donation to MWAN up to $1000. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by the end December for a total contribution of $30,000.

Also as an added bonus from NewsMatch, if we can find 100 NEW donors between now and December 31, to donate ANY amount, we will get an extra $1000 this year. ANY amount contributed by a NEW Donor will count towards the bonus. As an incentive to support MWAN, we are giving away a $50 Visa Gift Cards to our 25th, 50th, 75th and 100th NEW DONOR. Just a $5 contribution could win you a $50 Visa Gift Card!
