Amber Alert Issued in Wise County for Missing Young Girl
Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for 7 year old Athena Strand from Paradise in Wise County on December 1, just after 2pm.
She was last seen around 5:45pm near CR 3573 in Paradise, Tx wearing a gray/black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans with flowers on the front pockets with brown boots. Her whereabouts are unknown and law enforcement believes the child’s safety and health are in danger. Call 9-1-1 with any information.
The little girls mom alerted authorities just before 7pm last night that she could not find her daughter.
Multiple law enforcement agencies and many volunteers have been searching the area in Paradise where she was last seen last night. Thermal imaging drones were brought in to search the rough terrain for the girl.
An Amber Alert was not initially issued because the situation did not meet the criteria which says there has to be evidence of an abduction according the alerts’s informational website. https://amberalert.ojp.gov
