Do you ever get overwhelmed with all the commercialization of Christmas and feel like you forget the Reason for the Season? Well, don’t worry!! Two opportunities are coming up to see Live Nativity scenes in Mineral Wells. One even will have a REAL camel!

Just as they do every year, First United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells offers you an opportunity to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

FUMC Nativity

This Friday night, December 16, from 6-8pm, come witness the Christmas Story with a Live Nativity Scene depicting the birth of Jesus.

Performances can be viewed every 30 minutes from NE 1st Ave, just South of the Women’s Club. It is a come and go event and perfect for the whole family.

You can also be a participant in the event if you are willing to help. Volunteers wanting to be in the Live Nativity Scene should go to the West doors of the church prior to the event.

FCC Nativity

First Christian Church’s Live Nativity will show this Saturday, December 17 at 6:30pm.

Come out to hear and see the story of Jesus Christ’s birth, pet a few animals (the camel will be back!), share some cookies and hot chocolate, and sing some carols. Take some family photos.

IF there is heavy rain, we will hold the nativity inside the sanctuary. It is supposed to be chilly, so wear warm clothes and socks.

We invite anyone who wants to participate as a shepherd, angel, or wise man to call the church office by the close of business on Thursday to sign up at 940-325-4277. Be at the church by 6:00 pm, Saturday, to get a costume. We guide you for the rest of the evening.
