This week officials at Lake Mineral Wells State Park said they have seen a pair of American Bald Eagles twice now on an island in the middle of the lake.

Park officials posted a picture of the pair on social media and told commenters they were spotted checking out an existing nest made last year by another magical creature. It’s unknown if the pair are mated, but officials are hopeful.

“I would think they are, but they were just checking out last year’s Great Blue Heron nest in this picture. Maybe it wil give them nesting ideas” commented lake officials.

Maybe they will just stay for winter!!
