New Charges Added for Suspect Involved in Police Standoff

65-year-old Bryan Jacobs was taken into custody after a 4 hour standoff off when MWPD and other agencies attempted to serve a warrant to him. He ran from law enforcement, and allegedly was seen pointing a weapon at an officer and an elderly gentleman inside of the home, which quickly escalated the situation.

Today Jacobs sits inside Palo Pinto County Jail with a new charge of Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant stemming from yesterday’s standoff. Officers were attempting to serve a felony warrant for for Possession of a Controlled Substance and now the Aggravated Assault charge.
