LEADERSHIP SHIFT AT MINERAL WELLS CHAMBER OCCURS; SETH HOBBS NAMED INTERIM PRESIDENT/CEO BY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors today announced a leadership shift in its organization, continuing to strengthen its support for its members and its voice in economic development and sustainability initiatives. “All of us serving on the board of directors would like to thank David May for his service to the Chamber and the City of Mineral Wells. David’s heart and passion for our community allowed him to move boldly into the role as Chamber President/CEO. David guided the Chamber through many positive changes over the past two years as well as through the city’s surge in business development and growth. The Chamber wishes him well in all of his endeavors. We are confident wherever he serves, he will lead with zest and passion,” said Cody Jordan, board president.
“As the Chamber assesses its accomplishments and goals as well as future staffing priorities, we are pleased to share that Seth Hobbs is coming aboard immediately in the role of interim President/CEO,” Jordan continued. Seth is a nine-year resident of Mineral Wells and has built strong relationships with many community stakeholders and business owners in this time. “His experience as an athletic director fits perfectly with the Chamber’s desire for a leader who is a team builder, goal oriented, accountable for results and budget minded.”
With Mineral Wells being officially recognized by State legislatures as the Wellness Capital of Texas the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce will be working to collaborate with restaurants to build healthier menu options, as well as partnering with businesses to create policies to encourage health and wellness amongst their staff. A healthy community creates a healthier workforce allowing them to be more productive and satisfied with their work. This initiative will be a powerful recruitment tool for bringing in new businesses as it enhances our quality of life.
With so many new businesses moving into the area the Chamber is also working to incorporate master classes to provide support in the areas of marketing, business development, employee retention, hospitality, finance and so much more. The Chamber is dedicated to providing quality services to the business community in and around Mineral Wells.
