William Alvin Coe Obituary
William Alvin Coe 7/18/1948 – 10/22/2023
William Alvin Coe was born in Stamford, Texas on July 18, 1948, and passed away on October 22, 2023, after a long battle with complications of congestive heart failure.
From his youth until his teens, he spent a lot of time with his Grandparents, (Mamaw & Papaw). Papaw gave him the nickname ‘Butch’. Those years, he learned from Papaw how to repair almost anything. And Mamaw taught him how to sew.

His Dad and Uncles were musicians and he decided he wanted to be like them. So, at the age of 5, Uncle Bill stood him in a chair and put an upright bass in his hands. Before he was 6, he often played at country dances with them.
He and Ann Martin were married in 1966 and had two sons, Rick and John.
In 2012, he and Lana Jacks were married and Callie Aguilar became his stepdaughter.
He was a member of the Cowboy Church of Mineral Wells since 2011 and played with the band for many years. He was proud to have been Santa for Mineral Wells for 17 years.
He is survived by the love of his life and caretaker, Lana, his son Rick & wife, Katherine, son John & wife, Lisa, daughter Callie, grandchildren, Morgan Boyd & husband Jacob, Liam Coe & wife, Maggie, Trace Coe, Ivy Aguilar, and Ridge Johnson. Also his beloved dog, Bunny & cat, PeeWee.
Willy has donated his body to University of Texas Southwest Medical Center Willed Body Program. There will be no funeral services.
