Cadence Colwell netted 15 points backed by eight points each from Kahlea Samples and Rindy Carter Tuesday as the Mineral Wells Lady Rams notched their second consecutive win, 45-38, over Breckenridge.

Jaylee Newman chipped in five points, while Aniya Richardson, Emery Boswell and Caitlyn Colwell added two points each to aid in the win over the visiting Lady Buckaroos.

Cadence Colwell was 6-of-11 from the floor, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

Samples grabbed six rebounds with two blocked shots while recording five steals to help lead the charge. She was 3-of-3 shooting from the floor and 2-of-2 from the foul line for a perfect shooting night. Carter made four of her six field goal attempts.

Cadence Colwell had four defensive rebounds, while twin sister Caitlyn grabbed five boards. Carter gave the Lady Rams four second chance opportunities with her four offensive rebounds. Richardson recorded three assists, while Boswell recorded two assists.

The Ladies led 7-5 after the opening quarter, then outscored Breckenridge 16-11 in the second to take a 23-16 lead to halftime. The two teams flipped the third and fourth periods, with Breckenridge coming out hot after intermission to score 16 points to seven for Mineral Wells. But the Rams turned it around in the fourth period, outscoring Breckenridge 15-6 to secure the win.

The Lady Rams (3-3) play Thursday at Rockport-Fulton with a 9 a.m. tip, then will face Southwest Legacy.
