Rams grab key district road win

Mineral Wells Rams celebrated their first district road win in two years, defeating the Stephenville Yellow Jackets, 41-36, on Tuesday.
The win improved the Rams’ record to 6-24 on the year and 1-2 in District 6-4A, and puts the Rams in third place. The win also broke a 13-game losing streak.

Stephenville fell to 14-14 overall and 1-2 in district.
Charlie Ramsay and Preztynn Harrison led the winning effort with nine points each.
Ryan Hunt’s effort team helped the team in to a 13-3 scoring run in the third period to take the lead and seize control of the tight contest.
The Rams return home tonight to take on Brownwood (10-19, 0-3). The varsity game tips at 7 p.m. with freshmen and junior varsity games at 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., respectively. Friday is also Junior High night and the younger kids will be recognized for their season.
