PEDESTRIAN STRUCK & KILLED BY VEHICLE

MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS – On 02/23/2024 at 8:35pm the Mineral Wells Police Department and Mineral Wells Fire/EMS were dispatched to the area in the 2600 block of 281 northbound reference a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival officers located a single vehicle that struck a male pedestrian, believed to be attempting to cross the roadway. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS began treating the 23-year-old male who had been struck by the vehicle. EMS transported the male to Palo Pinto General Hospital while Mineral Wells Police Department investigated the accident scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, attempted to render aid and fully cooperated with the investigation. The 23-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The investigation into the accident is still on-going and no charges are expected to be filed at this time.
