Mineral Wells ISD Superintendent John Kuhn gave notice in early April that he had accepted a position to lead the Abilene Independent School District next year and tonight the community learned his departure date would come sooner than many hoped.

At a Special Session of the Board of Trustees on April 17th, the group accepted Kuhn’s last day as Superintendent of the District to be scheduled for April 25th. The board appointed Assistant-Superintendent David Tarver to take over as the interim Superintendent beginning April 29th.
