Douglas Kirk Horton 1/5/1954 – 5/24/2024
Douglas Kirk Horton, 70, passed away May 24, 2024 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born January 5, 1954 in Strawn the son of Perry R. and Pauline Fay Baumgart Horton. He currently served on the boards of Texas Frontier Trails, Community Christian School, Crazy Water Hotel, and Pastors in Prayer for over 25 years. He was the “outside guy” at Holiday Hills Golf Course and the pastor of Well of Life Church. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Services are 10 AM Wednesday at Well of Life Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Survivors Wife Karen Horton, Brother Jay Horton and wife Susan, Children Bryan Horton and wife Kaylie, Perri Horton Leavelle, Grandchildren Jackson Horton and wife Hena, Price Horton, Liam Horton, Levi Leavelle, Noah Leavelle, and Paige Leavelle. The pallbearers will be Jackson Horton, Levi Leavelle, Price Horton, Noah Leavelle, Liam Horton, Jason Hartwig, Josh Sviontek, and Brady Owens.

Sad to hear of Kirk Horton passing. My heart goes out to the family. Kirk was so concerned about our community and worked not only as a pastor, but also as a citizen looking out for all groups in our city. RIP. Pastor Horton you have surely been a Good Servant.
