Trunk or Treat Deets, Halloween Happenings & Pumpkin Perfection
Happy Halloween!!
October 31st is the night our little ghouls and goblins hit the streets across the community for the biggest hauntings & candy grab of the year.
Mineral Wells Area News has gathered some great spots to take your kids on Halloween for Trick or Treating, but first let’s take a look at some of our favorite decorated pumpkins we have seen this spooky season.
Kids from Travis Elementary did a fantastic job decorating their pumpkins for a contest at school as did participants at the Boyce Ditto Library competition.
We are unaware of those contests’ winners at publication but here is a gallery of some of our favorites, as well as the one we chose as the overall winner!

And the winner is…..

“Skibidi Toilet” from Travis Elementary was deemed the winner this year for creativity, originality and relevancy.
While the pumpkins disguised as Krispy Kream doughnuts and a Starbucks latte were very impressive, the terror of “skibidi toilet” is seriously the most frightening for middle school teachers!
(Time to “flush” the phrase kids said middle school teachers & parents everywhere.)

And finally, if you are working on your cool mom skills and wanna be a “Sigma” parent this Halloween(IYKYK!), be sure to hit up all the Trunk or Treats listed below on Halloween Night.

Don’t miss Spooky Wells which runs along the downtown area from the Crazy Water Hotel on North Oak down to the Mineral Wells Police & Fire Department on South Oak and all the stores in between. That event runs from 5 to 7pm.

The Palo Pinto County Annex building is also hosting a Trunk or Treat in their parking lot at 100 SE 6th Avenue from 5 to 7pm.

Have a fabulous costume this year?
Don’t miss the Halloween Party and Costume Contest at the VFW Post 2399 starting at 7pm. Kids contest starts at 8pm and the adult contest at 9pm along with karaoke with DJ Kim at 1400 Veterans of Foreign War Street.

Finally, we are going to leave some more photos of last weekends Trunk or Treat at Starbucks that was an enormous success according to your local baristas.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!
