Local Nonprofit Hosts Annual Farm-to-Table Dinner with Gourmet Menu and Cash Prize Raffle

MINERAL WELLS, Texas — Let’s Grow Crazy is inviting the community to its annual Farm-to-Table Dinner and Fundraiser, a celebration of local food, sustainability, and community spirit. The event will be held Friday, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Crazy Water Hotel.
The evening features a four-course dinner prepared by Chef David Bull of Second Bar + Kitchen. All ingredients are sourced from growers and producers within 60 miles of Mineral Wells, reflecting the organization’s mission to strengthen local food systems.

“This event is more than a dinner—it’s a way to bring people together around the shared values of community, sustainability, and good food,” said Tai Saylor, founder of Let’s Grow Crazy and co-founder of the annual dinner.
Guests will begin the night with a reception of deviled farm eggs, cucumber-caprese skewers, and sweet and sour pork belly before sitting down to a seasonal menu that includes entrees like pan-roasted chicken thighs, lemon-pepper crusted pork loin, and spinach-herb primavera pasta. Dessert features a pecan pie with whipped goat cheese, salted caramel and candied pecans.

In addition to the culinary experience, attendees can participate in a reverse raffle game called “Bucks for Beans.”
Participants can purchase $50 bags of beans for a chance to win prizes, including a top prize of $1,000, with various amounts given away throughout the night.
“Bucks for Beans is a fun way to support our cause while giving someone the chance to take home a big prize,” said Saylor. “It’s always a hit and adds some excitement to the night.”
Fortunately even if you can’t make it to the Friday night dinner event, you can still help fundraise by purchasing a Bag of Beans prior to the event and possibly win one of the cash prize giveaways totaling $2500.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit Let’s Grow Crazy, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting food equity and sustainability through gardening education and support for local producers.
