MINERAL WELLS, Texas — Get ready to ham it up in Historic Downtown Mineral Wells as the Flying Pig Festival returns for its second year of pork-packed fun on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, 2025!

This unique celebration brings together big dreams, bold flavors, and the small-town charm of Mineral Wells for a weekend filled with music, food, contests, classic cars, and community spirit.

Friday, June 13 — Kickoff Concert & Cook-Off

Shake your ham to the beat and taste your way through the Everything But The Oink BBQ Contest on Friday night at the Gettin’ Piggy With It Main Stage!

Each $25 ticket includes entry to the concert and a BBQ tasting wristband to sample pork-tastic creations from local pitmasters. It’s a one-of-a-kind evening of dinner and a show in the heart of downtown.

Friday Night Lineup

6:00 p.m. – BBQ Tasting Opens & Music begins with Western Deluxe and a tribute to Tommy Alverson. Next up will be Matt Hillyer of Eleven Hundred Springs followed by headliner Texas country legend Cory Morrow

BYOB Rules

$20 cooler fee per ticket holder One cooler per person, max size 48 qt. No glass bottles allowed.

Saturday, June 14 — Free Family Festival, Car Show & Live Music 9am to 5pm

On Saturday, the festival goes full swine with a full day of free entertainment, including live music, vendors, food, kids activities, contests, and a classic car show from 9:00am to 5:00pm in Historic Downtown Mineral Wells.

Flying Pig Car Show — 10 am to 2pm

Registration begins at 9:00 am (no pre-registration required) First 50 cars receive dash plaques and goodie bags Vote in the People’s Choice Awards for Best in Show, Most Pig-Themed Ride, and more. Free for spectators!

There will be a BBQ Alley with food vendors available and an Artisan Market with 30+ local makers. A Kids Zone, storytime, crafts and family activities are available throughout the day.

About the Flying Pig Festival

While the festival officially launched in 2024, its roots run deeper. For years, locals joked that Mineral Wells’ iconic Baker Hotel would only reopen “when pigs fly.” Today, that saying represents a community rising again, fueled by revitalization, hope, and homegrown pride.

Now, pigs are truly flying in the craziest little town in Texas — and everyone is invited to be part of the celebration.
