PPGH announces closure of mobile clinic

MINERAL WELLS, TX — After thoughtful consideration, Palo Pinto General Hospital (PPGH) has made the decision to close its Mobile Clinic. The final day of service will be May 22, 2025.

“The Mobile Clinic has been a trusted source of care in Palo Pinto County for many years. We are incredibly proud of the compassion and dedication shown by our Mobile Clinic team, who served our community with heart and consistency every step of the way.”

Why the Clinic Is Closing?

Healthcare needs and delivery models are evolving. In the first seven months of Fiscal Year 2025 (October 2024 – April 2025), the Mobile Clinic averaged just 73 patient visits per month — approximately four patients per day — reflecting a 17% decrease from the previous year.

Expanded Access to Care

PPGH has significantly expanded access to care throughout the county. Patients now have multiple options for high-quality care at family health clinics — all accepting new patients.

Walk-in care is available at the Santo, Gordon, and Graford locations, as well as the Urgent Care Center in Mineral Wells.

Urgent Care Hours:

Monday–Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday–Sunday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
