Pumpkin Patches and Carriage Rides Bring Fall Fun to Mineral Wells This Weekend

The smell of pumpkin spice is in the air so grab the family and have a blast this weekend. Mineral Wells is in full autumn spirit, with pumpkin patches, farm fun, and even horse-drawn carriage rides downtown offering plenty of family-friendly activities this weekend.
Clark Gardens Pumpkin Patch
Clark Gardens Botanical Gardens is celebrating fall with its annual Pumpkin Patch 2025, featuring pumpkins of every size and plenty of games and attractions.
Included with daily admission:
- Pumpkin bowling, ring toss, and tic-tac-toe
- Corn pit and cornhole toss
- Tricycle race track and roping dummy
- Children’s playhouses and playscape zone
- Model trains at Clark Station
- Numerous photo spots
Special for this Saturday, Oct. 4:
DIY Scarecrow Class (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) Families can design, stuff, and style a scarecrow to take home. The Gardens provide straw, ties, and clothes; guests can bring fun accessories to add a personal touch. Cost: $10 per scarecrow.
Face painting (10 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Hay rides (11 a.m.–4 p.m.)
Pumpkin decorating stations (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children ages 4–12, and free for children 3 and under.
The Pumpkin Patch is open daily through October 31 and tickets can be purchased at here.

Journey Farms’ “The Patch”
Mineral Wells’ own Journey Farms has reopened The Patch, a family favorite running on weekends through Halloween.
Hours:
Saturdays: Noon to sunset
Sundays: 2 p.m. to sunset
Attractions include:
- Barrel train rides
- Bounce house and corn pit
- Tiny Town playhouses and giant chess
- Face painting and photo ops
- Farm animals to visit
- Food trucks and homemade seasonal treats
Admission: $5 per person (kids two and under free), which includes a small pumpkin and parking.
This Saturday, October 4, the Mineral Wells Fire Department will visit The Patch from noon to 3 p.m. Kids can meet firefighters, climb aboard fire engines, and learn about fire safety.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides Downtown
New this year, horse-drawn carriage rides by TT Ranch and Carriage will bring old-fashioned charm to Downtown Mineral Wells.
When: Saturday, Oct. 4
Where: Zappe Park
Time: Every half hour from 4 to 8 p.m.
Families and couples alike can enjoy a cozy lantern-lit tour through downtown.
