Backyard Pickleball Grand Opening at City Gym

Mineral Wells Parks & Recreation recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Backyard Pickleball courts at the Mineral Wells City Gym, located at 734 Warren Road.

The new outdoor courts provide another recreational option for residents and visitors looking to enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.

The Backyard is currently open during City Gym operating hours:

Monday–Thursday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday: Closed

Visitors can borrow paddles and pickleballs to play, and additional yard games are also available, including Connect 4, chess, checkers, and cornhole.

Parks officials say The Backyard will also be available for private rentals soon, offering another option for gatherings, events, and community activities.
