Brazos River Authority advises against activities in the water for now

For now, the BRA is advising no activities in the water. So much debris floating makes dangerous conditions.
Anytime you go out on a Texas reservoir in a watercraft or simply to swim, it is at your own risk. But following major rain events where huge flows are moving downstream, your risk is highly increased due to debris in the water and lower lake levels that expose stumps and other hazards.
Tubing and skiing are especially unsafe now because there is little to no protection to the human in the water.
The BRA strongly recommends that you do not go out on the lake at this time. We understand the inconvenience you may feel, but your safety and that of first responders is paramount. The debris could take a week or two to clear up significantly.
