Show Season Has Begun for Local Kids
It’s football time in Texas but it’s also the time when kids begin showing their animals at events across the state.
Graford ISD students had a great weekend in Abilene at the West Texas Fair.
Savahannah Martin made several runs at division titles with her Hereford heifer string. Emilee Munchrath and her Shorthorn heifers won Reserve Champion Overall, Calf Division Champion, Senior Division Reserve Champion, and Champion Senior Showmanship.
Munchrath is a representative of the National Ropers’s Supply(NRS) show team based out of Decatur. In an effort to build awareness of its show supply offering, NRS chose a team the best 26 youth exhibitors to travel the country to the biggest events.
Show Team Advisor Taylor Sullivent said, “The NRS Show Team was created to select an exclusive group of influencers within the livestock industry that would show for the brand. These exhibitors were hand selected because of their success and leadership roles within the show world.”
