Donations Needed for Missing Woman’s Burial

Last week the search for 66-year-old Betty Plumlee was called off after someone reported to Mineral Wells Police they had seen a body in Whatley Creek just south of town. Plumlee suffered from dementia and had been missing for almost a week.
The body was recovered from the creek and taken to Tarrant County for identification. However, the following morning, the search for Plumlee was called off by her immediate family, indicating she had been found.
The family is now asking the community for help once again to lay her to rest. Daughter-in-law Laura Beth Plumlee has told MWAN that arrangements are being made at Ft Worth Funerals and Cremations and donations are being accepted to help the family during this difficult time.
MWAN reached out to the funeral home who said the costs for burial will be just over $900. The link below will take you to the funeral home’s web page to make a contribution in her name to help with the cost.
