CCS Warriors Run Over Covenant Christian 73-46

The Mineral Wells Community Christian Warriors pulled off a huge win over Covenant Christian last week at the Warrior’s City Gym.

With four players in double figures, the Warriors never let up as they pulled ahead 43-21 at the half and closed out with a 73-46 win.

The hot shooting of Preston Anderson and Jackson Horton was too much for Covenant Christian.  Anderson finished the night with 25 points, scoring 12 in the first quarter and eight in the final quarter.  Horton, hitting from long range, scored 20 points.  Price Horton scored 10 points on the night along with one three-pointer. Brenden Hennech also had a three-pointer on the night.  Balsia Folic also hit double figures with 10 points.

Coach Rodricks was proud of the effort.  “We looked really good in the first half,” added Rodricks.

The Warriors move to 2-2 on the year after going 1-2 without the football players.

Community Christian Warriors and Lady Warriors will host their annual holiday tournament December 2ndthrough December 4th at the Mineral Wells City Gym.

CCS JV Wins

The Community Christian JV Warriors knocked off Covenant Christian 36-27 at the Warrior City Gym this past week. The Warriors got scoring from Canton Wise, who had 11 points on the night, to lead the Warriors to a solid halftime lead.

Price Horton had 6 points, while Conner Sneed and Braden Maness each added 5 points and Josh Petrie had 4 points to lead the Warriors to the nine-point win.
