Lady Ram Basketball Teams Hit the Hardwood;Back in Action Tonight
Varsity Girls Sweep Hillsboro
The Mineral Wells Lady Rams pulled a 3-game sweep of the Hillsboro Lady Eagles. The varsity team got off to a slow start, only scoring seven points in the first quarter, but blew ahead of the Lady Eagles with a 13-3 run in the second quarter for a 20-10 halftime lead.
The Lady Rams didn’t stop there as they outscored Hillsboro 18-6 in the third quarter for a 38-16 lead.
Kate Bradshaw gave the Lady Rams a rush in the third quarter as Bradshaw went on to score 12 points in the contest. Hannah Seaton added 8 points on the night and made a big push in the quarter.
The final quarter belonged to Brooke Bell, who ended the night with 12 points.
The Lady Rams moved their season record to 4-4 with the 47-21 win over Hillsboro and face Ft. Worth Southwest tonight at 5:30pm.
