Knights end Jackrabbits’ season

BRIDGEPORT – Despite Tuesday’s Class 2A regional semifinals loss, count Graford’s first season playing up a level a success.
The Jackrabbits were overwhelmed by the Lindsay Knights, 74-59, at Bridgeport High School. The Knights built a big lead and never let Graford get close throughout the second half.
Lindsay (24-11) advances to face the No. 2-ranked Lipan Indians (25-4) in the regional finals, with the winner advancing to the state semifinals in Austin. Lipan advanced after defeating Honey Grove, 58-37.
Lipan and Graford were district mates, with Graford finishing as runners up in District 11.
The Jackrabbits end their season with a 25-10 overall record with a 10-2 district mark and three-deep run in the post-season.
It was the final high school basketball game for Graford seniors Landon Cobb, Mac Lemley, Cye Lemley and Kamdyn Richardson.
