MW Lady Rams Varsity’s Strong Offense Not Enough to Secure Win Against Bridgeport

Bats were blistered on Tuesday, but MW Lady Rams Varsity couldn’t quite get the job done against the Bridgeport Sissies and fell 12-6. The MW Lady Rams Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bridgeport High School, giving up 12 runs. MW Lady Rams Varsity got things moving in the first inning. River Pugh singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Bridgeport High School pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning.


Pugh started the game for MW Lady Rams Varsity. The righthander lasted six and two-thirds innings, while striking out three and walking zero. MW Lady Rams Varsity tallied ten hits on the day. Pugh, Aubree Yowell, and Tatum McMinn each managed multiple hits for MW Lady Rams Varsity. McMinn, Yowell, and Pugh each collected two hits to lead MW Lady Rams Varsity. Next up, the Mineral Wells Lady Rams will host the Stephenville Honeybees on Friday, March 8th . JV @ 5 pm and varsity @ 7 pm.
