A walk-off single led Mineral Wells Varsity Rams past Hillsboro Eagles 10-9

Mineral Wells Varsity Rams were down 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Adrian Hollifield singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs. Mineral Wells Varsity Rams earned the victory despite allowing Hillsboro Eagles Varsity to score five runs in the seventh inning. Hillsboro Eagles Varsity got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Hillsboro Eagles Varsity.

After Hillsboro Eagles Varsity scored two runs in the top of the fourth, Mineral Wells Varsity Rams answered with two of their own. Hillsboro Eagles Varsity scored when Chris Scott doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs. Mineral Wells Varsity Rams then answered when Ryan Bell grounded out, scoring one run and Cainan Daniel singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Mineral Wells Varsity Rams notched four runs in the sixth inning. Mineral Wells Varsity Rams big bats were led by Jordan Pierce and Blake Blue, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Hollifield led the Mineral Wells Varsity Rams to victory on the mound. The pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Breaden Wells started the game for Mineral Wells Varsity Rams. The righthander went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Mineral Wells Varsity Rams tallied eight hits on the day. Daniel, Pierce, and Hollifield all managed multiple hits for Mineral Wells Varsity Rams. Hollifield, Pierce, and Daniel each collected two hits to lead Mineral Wells Varsity Rams.
