MINERAL WELLS, TX — On Thursday, June 30, 2022, at approximately 3:30 pm, Mineral Wells Police Department Dispatch received a 911 call of an unresponsive female in a field, in the 3000 block of NE 2nd Street.

Arriving Officers, along with personnel from the Mineral Wells Fire/EMS, located an
unresponsive white female. Mineral Wells Fire/EMS determined the female was deceased.


Mineral Wells Police Department Criminal Investigation Division was called to the scene to begin an investigation. Evidence found at the scene suggested the female lives nearby and had just visited a local business. The initial investigation did not indicate any signs of foul play.

The deceased female will be transported to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences (SWIFS), in Dallas, for an autopsy. The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by
the SWIFS, at the appropriate time.


The incident remains under investigation by the Mineral Wells Police Department.
