Summer Swim Hours Coming to an End
Since Mineral Wells schools are starting on August 8th, the dates that the Mineral Wells Aquatics Center stays open will be abbreviated this year.
The Aquatics Center will be open its regular summer hours until August 7th. The Aquatics Center will be closed for open swim Monday through Thursday, August 8th to the 11th and reopen for open swim for three days.
Friday, August 12th, Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th will be available for swimming. The times will be 12-6pm on Friday. Saturday from 12-6pm, and 12-6pm on Sunday August 14.
After August 14th, the Mineral Wells Aquatics Center will be closed for the season for open swim. Many of the current lifeguards are involved in extra-cirricular activities at their high school and are not available to work.
The last date for lap swimming will be Thursday, August 4th.
The 9AM and 11AM morning water aerobics classes will continue until Thursday, August 18th. The evening water aerobics class will end on Thursday, August 4th.
The good news about the earlier closing means the repairs and upgrades to the filtration system that were budgeted this year can begin sooner.
