Last week #9 for the Mineral Wells Rams, Jose Garcia, came within ten yards of breaking the school record for most yards rushing in a game. He ran 320 yards against Castleberry, but this week he smashed the record.

In last nights game against Western Hills, Garcia rushed for 392 yards and took down the record set in 2005 by Kelvin Thompson.

Coach Hobbs commended Garcia’s accomplishments, crediting the cohesive teamwork.

“It was a great individual effort that wouldn’t be possible without the collective outstanding performance of the offensive line and tight ends,” said Hobbs.

Garcia also tied a record last night for the most touchdowns in a single game when he scored five times against the Cougars.

The Rams beat Western Hills in a final score of 55 to 40. They will be back in Mineral Wells next week facing Benbrook for Homecoming.
