The Mineral Wells Lady Rams Continue to Dominate on the Courts

Lady Rams took on Wichita Falls and battled to win in four sets. Out of the gate the ladies won the first two sets, 25-18 and a nail biter 26-24. Then in the third set, the Lady Rams faltered a bit losing 25-20, forcing a 4th. The girls came from behind to win the set 25-23 moving the team deeper into the win column.

Volleyball in Mineral Wells hasn’t had a winning season since 2010, but from the looks of it, Coach Branch is turning this team around.

“Kimberly Branch is doing an outstanding job. With her experience and understanding of the game, she is creating a good environment for lasting success. The girls are starting to develop a winning attitude that is translating onto the court,” said the Mineral Wells High School Athletic Director Tony Raffael.

Coach Branch liked the tough test her team faced before opening District play next week in what will be a tough opponent in Graham.

“Last nights game was a good win for us. WF is a good team and the fight the girls demonstrated was exactly what we need as we head into district. We are in a tough district, but if we play with the heart we did last night against WF, we will give ourselves a chance to advance,”stated Branch.
